A vast number of police documents are needing to be redacted and sent to the Crown Prosecution Service on a daily basis. Recognising the need for improvements in the redaction process, Simpson Associates have developed, in conjunction with Microsoft, “RedactXpert”– a tool that assists in the process of redacting documents using AI, delivering improved efficiency and considerable time-saving benefits.

Redaction tools are already widely used within UK Police, however RedactXpert takes the process to a new level. The only automated redaction tool built on the Microsoft Azure platform that utilises Microsoft’s Cognitive Services, RedactXpert identifies and redacts Personally Identifiable Information (PII) with the power of AI.
