Simpson Associates sail their way to winning the Russell Cooke Silicon Cup Regatta
Supporting Charities through sailing
In September, the Simpson Associates team embarked on a thrilling adventure as they set sail, participating in the highly anticipated Russell Cooke Silicon Cup Regatta.
This exciting event was further enhancing through their support of charitable causes. As we are committed to giving back to the wider community and the Regatta was the perfect opportunity to do so. It is the largest IT networking event and raises funds for three remarkable charities: the Genie’s Wish, the Andrew Simpson Foundation, and the Greig City Academy sailing programme.
The Genie’s Wish aim to enhance the lives of people in England and Wales, who are suffering from a critical or terminal illness or living with a life-limiting medical condition, while both the Andrew Simpson Foundation, and the Greig City Academy sailing programme are centered specifically helping those through the act of sailing.
With a team of eight enthusiastic members, the Simpson Associates crew embarked on two days filled with laughter and sailing, navigating the waters from Portsmouth to the Isle of White in a race across the seas.
While the taking part is all that counts, we are proud to announce that the Simpson Associates team managed to bag winners of their category and the overall winners of the Silicon Cup!
“I’m not much of a sailor, but I had the best time at the Russel Cooke Charity Cup! It was so rewarding to be part of a team that was not only working together to win and support such amazing causes and to top it all off, Simpsons won the whole gala!” – Emma Dalton, Marketing Campaigns Manager
