Orbit Group, a housing organisation which owns and manages 39,000 homes across the Midlands, the East and South East regions, and parts of London has chosen to migrate its current SQL estate to SQL 2016 hosted in Microsoft Azure.
Orbit Group made the decision to move to SQL 2016 in Azure to support their current growth and future proof the organisation. By moving to SQL Server 2016, Orbit can expect to benefit from many of the latest additions to the toolset, especially the PowerBI components, to provide powerful data visualisations and analysis to their employees and business partners.
“We are experiencing a substantial period of growth and we recognised that the enhancements within SQL Server 2016 meant that we could take our current information dashboards to the next level in order to fully understand and to continue that growth.”
